[Kinship] Erohir: My blueberry muffins are so, blueberrily.
[To Kinship] Do they smell like death?
Aeargalad defeated the Quicksilver Cave-crawler.
[Kinship] Insidiose: Ew.
[Kinship] Erohir: No, they smell of life.
[Kinship] Kevolas: from our heroes dangerous ventures into the realm of the mound wights, kevolas proudly holds up a broken dagger
[Kinship] Erohir: A life that passionately follows the way of the sword
You clap your hands.
[Kinship] Kevolas: its small, bone white, and has been obviously used for centuries and centuries
You cheer.
Zannoette defeated the Quicksilver Cave-crawler.

vol3 bk1 update

I started downloading the new content at approximately 14:43 GMT. I was collecting the prologue to the new book within 12 minutes of that, which was very impressive. However, it did not take long for server performance to slow under the volume of players logging on. I then proceeded to work my way through Book 1 over the course of the afternoon and early evening. Much to my surprise, I had completed the 9 chapters within four hours. During that time I did not feel any of the activities, apart from the new skirmish, a challenge to my level 65 Loremaster with his modest skillset, armour and jewelry.

Jwbarry posted yesterday on his My.Lotro blog about several members of Turbine who are participating in Project Bread’s 2010 Walk for Hunger; a pledge walk to alleviate local hunger.  In order to help, you can either join Team Turbine  in the walk (but only if  you will actually be there to participate in the walk), pledge some money, or both!  This is definitely a worthy cause and we definitely encourage everyone to help meeting the Team’s goal.

I was pretty successful yesterday, although I ended up running out of steam towards the evening :) and didn’t get quite as much done as I had planned.

I started off on my Minstrel as I had less to do on him.  I had logged out the previous night at Gath Forthnir such that I could jump right in and finish off the final quest of Volume 1.  Considering this is still a level 50 quest, my 65 minstrel had a LOT of fun running through there.  The “Inspire Greatness” buff is quite fun and I ended up having some real nifty big numbers floating around my screen ;)   The biggest was my Call to the 2nd Age critting for over 5K on all three mobs attacking me!  Here’s a shot of me in the middle of that quest, and a shot of the buff (notice at this point I had forgotten to re-do my legendaries)…

Turbine Logo The folks at Turbine have put together a team to participate in the Project Bread’s 2010 Walk for Hunger. The event helps provide food to local children and their families throughout Massachusetts.

I think it’s really great the Turbine participates in these sorts of community events and wanted to give them a little shout out for their good deeds.
