Ok, whoever is the genius behind the LOTRO kegs needs a raise
A previous version of this keg, the “Sinister Inn League Keg” which is obtained from the Spring festival in the Hedge maze would transport you to various places throughout Middle-Earth including places like the Giant’s Needle which is a tad tricky to get down from.

Shortly before closing down MMeOw, I put together my own map to the Flowers of the Old Forest deed. There are a few of these floating around, but I went ahead with it anyway. For those not familiar, this deed requires you to find several flowers scattered throughout the Old Forest. Doing quests in the Old Forest, you’ll likely run across a few of these. Finding the rest isn’t exactly a cup of tea, unfortunately, as many are in areas you really don’t have any need to visit.
The map below gives the locations and names of all of the flowers you need to find: Nedorlas, Braiglad, Lenhwest, Silloth, Merillif, Dorollin, Cordofoneth and Rhosthon. I didn’t bother with coordinates, as I think this is easy enough. If you have trouble finding one, you can press “Delete” on your keyboard to select usable that is nearest item to your character.

Iarwain Annatar raised the issue of value for money on the LOTRO EU forum. However, it is a more complex issue than you would initially think. How can you effectively compare products from different genres, say LOTRO with COD MW2? Is there a common definition of "satisfaction" or "enjoyment" the consumer gets from the product? How can you quantify such subjective data?
Well I thought it would be fun to give it a go.

So for those of you in twitter-land you probably know that I’ve been enjoying the Spring festival and have been quite busy. The shrew stomping is a lot of fun and I took a couple videos of my successful runs through both the kill 10 shrews and the 1st to kill the enormous one. One thing I’ve noticed is that many try to use normal AOE skills or lay traps to gain an advantage. Tapping the shrew with damage doesn’t grant credit nor does it prevent someone else from stomping it – so there’s really no need to do that at all. The first video is pretty tame as there weren’t that many online at the time.

For those who don’t know, we will be attending PAX East 2010 this Saturday and have scheduled an interview with some as of yet, unnamed employees of Turbine. Now we need your help to make sure we do the best interview possible, which means we need questions!
If you have any questions that you’d like to ask, please let us know! You can post your questions in the comments, email us, call (+1-520-261-CSTM (2786)), or send them via twitter/facebook. This was a fun discussion over twitter last week. The discovery and creation of LOTRO themes that can be applied to your browser window. I thought it may be interesting enough for a Outside LOTRO mention.
Firefox Personas
Firefox calls their browser themes “personas” just so you aren’t confused by the name (like I was). There are actually quite a good collection of personas available with a LOTRO theme from getpersonas.com the most popular being the Weathertop theme.
Chrome Theme
With all the hub-bub about the Firefox personas, LOTRO_Fanatik took it upon himself to create a LOTRO theme for chrome users as well. It can be found on the Chrome Theme web site.

So I know I haven’t played mine much lately nor really talked about him, but there was a new guide posted on the forums which has sparked some good discussion as well as a mention of an old guide being updated as well. Here’s the link to the recent guide by Cithryth as well as the link to Elborigorn’s guide. Cithryth primarily focuses on a grouping/raiding Captain while Elborigorn’s is a bit more inclusive to include all the roles a Captain might have to fill. So, if you have or are leveling a Captain both treads are good reads for ideas a build suggestions.

Just a quick reminder that today is the start of Spring Festival currently set to run until April 19th. I’ll be working on the quest guide as soon as I get home so look for that later!
Have fun stomping those shrews!
