I have just watched the "Extended Fellowship Trailer" for the forthcoming game "The Lord Of The Rings: War In The North". I would like to draw your attention to the following screen captures I took. The first clearly shows the Lore-master character. He appears against a grey background and there are clouds moving past, indicating forward motion. He is sitting and his attitude shows that he is about to dismount.

Do you have a character on Landroval? Thinking of starting a character on Landroval? But don’t want to start from scratch? Well M.E.C has the answer… Take a screenshot of your favorite place in Middle Earth, make sure your character is in the screenshot, and make sure to remove the UI (f12) and mail it to me with the title of the email “I want to win 10g!” …and last but not least you must follow me on Twitter to qualify…”Click here to follow

The screenshot does not have to be on Landroval, But all prizes will be awarded on Landroval only…

When we first published the instance join list from part five of the instance dev diary we quickly had a comment from Chuck Steel saying it would be a great reference with a bit more information. I thought the idea of a printable reference sheet was a wonderful idea as I mentioned in Episode 51 and I started working on building it.

I quickly realized with my lack of much raiding experience that this effort was a bit over my head so I called in our raid specialist, Elb, to help me! With Elb’s excellent input we’re pleased to present you with a PDF reference sheet that you can easily print and post near your game station for reference!

I had almost removed them since they hadn’t been updated in so long but I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed new episodes of Ringcast by Lady Sinea and The One True Cast by BadPanda pop into my iTunes.  Both plan to put out new content now that they’re getting spun up on all the F2P news and excitement.  I know there are quite a few LOTRO Podcasts but it is always good to get another perspective on things.

There are so many different types of trees in Lord of the Rings Online, from birches to pine and everything in between.  I’m always amazed at all the different sizes, colors, and types represented in Middle-Earth.

Flowering Trees

Throughout the spring and summer there are plenty of flowering trees to enjoy.  The flowers come in an array of different shades, including purple.

Hunter This week we cover the areas for leveling from 51-60 and the skills you will attain from them.

Having reached level 50 and finishing your level 50 class quest we can finish up in Eregion and move into Moria which is like nothing you have ever seen. Gaining access to Moria requires the purchase of the Moria expansion and the completion of Volume 2 Book 1 of the epic quest line, so we are going to operate on the assumption that you have both of these taken care of. After entering Moria you will first notice that it is huge with multiple quest hubs. The first few are levels 50-56 and then the lower levels are 55-60.

Another option once you are in the level 55-56 range is to quest in the outer Moria pre-Lothlorien areas for reputation with the Elves of Lothlorien which will grant you access to the Lothlorien areas. There are two Factions of Dwarves in Moria for reputation the Miners and the Guards both of them have decent

I’m going to go out on a limb and make a prediction for Lord of the Rings Online. I’m going to predict that Turbine will announce the next major content update at PAX, and that it will come before the end of the year.

I have a few reasons for believe this, but I’m feel very strongly about this. We will get an announcement from Turbine letting us know that we will be continuing our journey towards Mordor.
