At approximately 01:00 GMT (20:00 EST) I successfully logged into Brandywine server on my US account. I initially got some details about being in a queue, but this cleared within about 50-60 seconds. I spawned outside the Forsaken Inn and decided to stay put for a few minutes as completed deed confirmation messages flashed up on the screen. There were quite a few, despite my Lore-master being only level 24. This will certainly be a lengthy process for those with alts at level cap.

At 19:10 GMT (14:10 EST) I attempted to patch my US LOTRO account, after being tipped off that there was an automated service in advance of the Turbines head start on Wednesday. Despite being outside of the US, the client launcher successfully connected and started to download the respective patch data.

During the downtime there was a Dev Chat hosted by WarCry with the full transcript posted a couple of places but I read it over at Mordor of Bust. Certainly some good Q&A but a couple things leaped off the page for me:
- With regard to the Isengard Expansion (Kate Paiz):
- isengard is tentatively slated for next year, and we’ll be approaching the zone in the timeline in which saruman has already denuded the area, and has created his orc factory. players will likely have access to some of the underground areas, but obviously with saruman in the big tower, access to the upper regions is likely to be challenging

If you’re struggling trying to get in your LOTRO fix today you can read up on the Official F2P Patch Notes which detail everything that made its way into the live version. I’m not going to comment too much on them as I think I’ve already pretty much sliced and diced everything previously.
Also, as to be expected with any launch, there are some known issues, which many appear to be annoyances or things mis-labeled.
One interesting note is that it appears that the consignment quests aren’t going away like I previously thought, they’re just being changed to give you a gift box reward as opposed to having to open a box.

So I’m mostly up and running here, still need to add my links back but that’s a bit of a manual process and I just haven’t gotten to it. But it is a good opportunity to go back through and edit things a bit
Let me know if things don’t work or if there are other things that I forgot to bring over.

After almost a full year of writing about LOTRO and various other topics, I’ve decided to move sites over to docholidaymmo.com. I will have the RSS feeds moved over and it should be a pretty smooth transition, but please let me know if something gets messed up
If you’re using the WordPress RSS feed, please switch over to the FeedBurner one that you’ll find over on the widget on the right. It has been a fun year in what started just as an idea for me to write about Wardens. I’ve branched out to cover my main classes in LOTRO and also other games as well. I did keep the name somewhat generic, as although I do love LOTRO and will be spending lots of time there, in the future I know my interests will diverge in other areas. I will continue to write what drives me but continue to ask for ideas or topics you’d like me to cover. One thing I know I’ll be working on is more videos and screenshots of my gameplay and I’m very anxious to start doing some comparisons between champions and wardens, so get your torches and asbestos gear ready
I’ve also dabbled a bit in the podcast arena as a guest on a few shows (CSTM, LOTRO Reporter, and Gondor Awaits) and have enjoyed them so much that I am contemplating starting my own podcast. However with the return of Ringcast and The One True Cast there seem to be quite a few LOTRO podcasts and I want to make sure that if I do something it would be unique. So stayed tuned for news on that front.

Here is the Hunter Roundtable, recorded September 2, 2010 with special guest hunters, Kiarane, Ketani, Gwail and Hataru.
Similar to our past roundtable discussions, this is a lengthy episode but it is full of Hunter information. We discuss soloing, grouping, skirmishes, skills, traiting, legendary items and much more!
