This week Goldenstar’s Monday Dum Group is finishing up Volume 1 quests (hopefully now done in Forochel). She did extra credit so her burglar followed along and got some reputation items for the hated lossoth. In other news, Goldenstar the minstrel is level 74.5! Actually she’s now level 75 but during the broadcast she was not quite there.

We have a wonderful opportunity for you to win some Turbine Points! Thaladus has offered up a Turbine Points he’s purchased himself just for you to create a great LOTRO video.

CNN’s Geek Out blog has a new article out today called “The migratory patterns of MMO gamers”. In the article the author, Nikki Rau-Baker, talks about the pattern of MMO players to leave their game to try another game.
The article speaks on a couple games but LOTRO is a bit more prominent as it is something that the author is familiar with and plays herself.

This question was sent in by Thaladus. I thought it was a fun idea to just have a silly poll like this for a week. Thaladus’ poll was specific talking about Draigoch eating Azz and Merric (which from what I hear is fairly accurate) but I modified it to be more class generic.

January 30th is the final day of the Yule Festival! Make sure you turn in all your tokens and buy up all the goodies you were hoping for this weekend.
All the yule festival items including the horses, costumes and furniture will not be available again until next year! The tokens will not expire so if you simply wish to put a stash in your vault until next year, that will work!
Our 2011 Yule Festival Guide is available to make sure you haven’t missed anything!

I’m very pleased to point out to everyone’s attention, this post today by Sapience giving an official stance of their reasoning for putting low level store armour in the game as well as some responses to the most common fears and comments about the store items and in fact about Turbine in general.
This is exactly what I think we all needed to hear. An explanation, reasoning and fear reducing verbiage about what this new store offering means for LOTRO.
