This week the Dums made it to Galtrev. I never noticed before how Galtrev is just full of busy work. They’re like “Oh a new person, lets give them all the jobs we don’t wanna do!”

I’m carrying heavy boxes around town, searching for missing nails, taking wood and widdling it into spears, and searching crates from Isengard. As Hoppy had put it “Clearly this is Heroes work”.

I took the Update 10 Release Notes, ripped out all the parts that didn’t seem interesting, and reorganized it into a more coherent set of information. I interspersed a few comments of my own as I went (in blue). I will dig deeper into some of the stat number changes in a follow-up article. BTW... sorry that the text looks wonky, Blogger is refusing to accept the fonts the way I am

We logged in last night, and after having a quick look at stats (need to think about those) and switching hytbold sets around, we got our Team Orange group together with a couple of lovely kinnies and went off into the new 6 man instance The Bells of Dale.  I brought Mallendis along as we were expecting a challenge.  Well the first challenge was getting the zone to work.  First time, we froze completely within the instance for over 5 minutes.   To get back in, we had to exit game, reboot, log in as another character, log back to original character.  I don’t know if this was just overload or what.  The second time in, we got to the first boss (big troll), killed him but the rest of the zone didn’t open up and no loot – clearly bugged out – so we figured starting again would be quickest.  Third time lucky ;)

Today Turbine released some new official screenshots of the second part of the Riders of Rohan instance cluster. I haven’t seen a release date of Update 10 just yet (LOTRO’s site says “Coming Soon”) but we’ll let you know when we see it!

The Bells of Dale [6-Man Raid]

Even as open war threatens Gondor and Rohan far to the south, allies of Mordor make their advance upon the Lonely Mountain. Travel north to the kingdom of Dale where the cruel Easterlings have already begun their assault. Help Brand ring the city bells and hold the line against enemy forces while the townsfolk begin their retreat to the safety of Erebor.
