This poll is simply for our curiosity. We often hear about the different ways people find the CSTM blog and podcast and thought it might be a fun poll! The choices may not match exactly as to how you found CSTM but choose what you think is closest and you are welcome to elaborate in the comments!

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

This is just a note to try to stop all the helpful email, tweets and other comments we’ve been receiving. We understand that some are seeing a big angry warning from Google when attempting to view the CSTM site.

Let me make this clear: There is no malware on our site.

There was a compromise on the server last night starting about 9pm Eastern last night. It was not the CSTM site specifically; all sites on the server were affected. When it was reported to us last night, Merric found and cleared the offending code. Everything was corrected by 10pm.

The site is safe to use but the Google warning is still there. Google will not remove the warning until they’ve reviewed the site. I have requested google review the site but it may take a while before they get around to it.

A new feature for LOTRO bloggers has appeared on the MyMiddle-Earth.net web site. LOTRO Portal is a space for LOTRO Bloggers to share their pictures, thoughts, journeys or stories with other LOTRO players.

It runs on a WordPress platform (similar to my.lotro) and easy to use. To start posting your own LOTRO adventures follow these simple steps:

Well that took a LOT longer and was quite a bit more painful then I was hoping for, but I’m finally over on my new host.  Hopefully things will be quicker and there shouldn’t be as many issues as I was having with my previous host.  I’m still trying to make sure everything is working, so if you all wouldn’t mind taking a minute or two to check things out that would be great.  Oh, and if you see anything that you know how to fix that would be appreciated as well ;)

And yes, I have a few updates that will be coming out today as I’ve still been writing, just not posting.  There’s also a new podcast episode that’s ready to go and should be up soon as well.

Orion is continuing his proposed changes for the Minstrel class and today has a nice summary post of what he suspects will be on the test servers for us to try out first. We have covered the past blog posts by Orion concerning the minstrels here and here in case you’ve missed those. I really think that Orion’s post is pretty clear (if not long) read so I do encourage interested folks to read it.

For my post, I will be focus on changes from the first proposed listings. Orion has taken a lot of the minstrel feedback to heart and has altered the original design to the good ideas from the community. You know what this means. If the changes suck, it’s our fault! (I’m joking save your hate mail). I will be a little out of order from Orions post because I need to spell this out in the fashion my brain can process.

Nightmare Boss Fight

I know there are a number of players of The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) that use the photo sharing service, Flickr. We use it ourselves to post up our photos from PAX East, screenshots from Bullroarer, officially shared screenshots from LOTRO and whatever else may strike our fancy.

I thought it would be great fun to set up a group to share screenshots of our favorite game!
I can’t be the only one with thousands of screenshots in my folder. I love looking in on other people’s adventures and invite you to share your favorite screenshots!

www.casualstrolltomordorIn the first of a series of blog posts about future class changes, Orion follows up on his earlier preview of the Champion revisions and offers a deeper look at the changes he had previously mentioned earlier in the week.  Most of the major changes that he mentions circle around the stances of Ardour and Glory; although there is a brief look at Fervour which should only see minor changes.

BlogToday we’re turning the tables a bit and instead of just telling you about neat stuff we find, we’re asking for you to share with us!

Do you have a blog about LOTRO, gaming in general, or perhaps about Tolkien and his stories? Do you write LOTR fan-fiction or are an artist with a knack for drawing elves and hobbits?
