This week Goldenstar’s Monday Dum Group is finishing up Volume 1 quests (hopefully now done in Forochel). She did extra credit so her burglar followed along and got some reputation items for the hated lossoth. In other news, Goldenstar the minstrel is level 74.5! Actually she’s now level 75 but during the broadcast she was not quite there.

Merric has gotten his champion to level 75! He’s considering making it his new main and Goldenstar refuses to heal him. He needs to work on the champ’s virtues.

It appears that Turbine has gotten all it wants out of the testing for Update 5, as Bullroarer will be closing tomorrow at noon eastern!
That’s right all of you wanting to get actual numbers for seal and medallion drop rates and how long it will take to potentially get the new armor sets, you better act fast.
And for those of you wanting to see how the new Warden tweaks work, you’ve got less then 24 hours TOTAL to get it done!

The second build to Bullroarer is now live for the upcoming Update 5: Armies of Isengard content coming in December. Lots of bug fixes and response to the community in here, and it appears like this update is paralleling Update 3 (In their Absence) which would mean another possible Bullroarer update before this content finally hits live. So, make sure to get on Bullroarer (if you can) test stuff out, bug it, be vocal (but constructive) on the forums, etc. There also appear to be changes to the barter and armor set requirements, but I haven’t checked them out yet to be totally sure. Nor am I 100% convinced they’re final, yet

I made a point to ask Turbine yesterday about videos and received permission to post videos based on our common understanding. Based on that, I’ve put together a video with commentary of the changes for the Minstrel class. We’ve seen some great written guides, but I know for some videos are more helpful. If Bullroarer comes back up, I will probably do another run with the Yellow line to see how that works out but this video focuses mainly on War-speech. I’ll also try to do some for the Warden changes and possibly the Captain.

Not to be out-done by the Champion diary, Orion takes us on a seven page description of what all is happening to the Minstrel class. Instead of outlining the diary here, I’m just going to give my takes on it page by page and try to summarize, otherwise this post would just be ridiculously huge.
The first page is mainly the introduction for the diary as well as the explanation of what happens with Medium Armor as Minstrels will no longer have the ability to trait for Medium Armor wearing. Any bound Medium Armor the Minstrel is wearing when Isengard launches will be converted to Light Armor.

*SPOILER ALERT* Below are listings and details on Lore-master changes with Rise of Isengard from the Bullroarer beta server.
After testing the LM changes on beta I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with the changes. It seems like the devs went through all the LM skills and attempted to fix all the little annoying features of the class. The only downside is that there isn’t any major class overhaul or any new skills; the Lore-Master is still pretty much the same.
Lets start with our updated skills. There were changes to: Burning Embers, Sign of Battle: Wizard’s fire, Sign of the wild: Rage, Staff Sweep, Knowledge of Cures, and Sign of the power: Command.

What do you say to a huge dragon who has a lot of gold and invites you into his lair so he can “share” it with you? Well, I’ll leave that up to you to decide.
So, I was one of the fortunate ones who was able enough to get into the closed beta as well as a Draigoch run; and let me tell you this is a heck of a dragon and an interesting instance. I think that it is going to be fun for quite a number of groups, but it has a bit of a different twist when it comes to the fight. There is also a lot of speech that goes on during the entire encounter including several monologues that I believe most players will enjoy.
