Sapience of Turbine, in trademarked Incredisoon style, announced yesterday that Turbine will be opening four new servers for our gaming pleasure!

The servers will be named as follows:

  • Riddermark
  • Crickhollow
  • Dwarrowdelf
  • Imladris

These servers will be available on a first-come, first-”served” basis, starting September 8th for Head Start players, and September 10 for all others.  (Check here to see if you are eligible for the earlier start date.)  Sapience also noted that the forums for the new servers are up and running, in order to help the flocks of people organize themselves and their friends.  For those of you with 67 alts who just NEED to have 9 new characters to love, head on over to the new servers, make some new friends, and bring our well-renowned LOTRO community spirit to some new players arriving soon, very soon, ultra soon, uber soon…..  You get the idea!  ;)

Happy gaming!

In “From the Book” Goldenstar discusses the significance of in game people, places and things that were part of the book and excluded from the movies so you can understand their importance and appreciate them!

Location of Crickhollow Today’s topic is the little village across the Brandywine River by the name of Crickhollow in Buckland. While a small Hobbit community, you will find this village in the far west of your Breeland Map. Past the Bucklebury Ferry and on the edges of the Old Forest.

The significance of this area is a house on the edge of town. If this house has a name of it’s own, I do not remember it. It was this house that Frodo purchased and used as his cover for leaving the Shire.
