How many times have I traveled to Weathertop? At least several times a year on my level 65 alone between the Fellowship Walk and Weatherstock not to mention leveling any alts there.
So imagine my surprise last night after the Fellowship Walk completed it’s journey to Weathertop that a fellow walker said he opened a deed. A deed I didn’t have! This has to be new with Rise of Isengard and what a fun little game!
Meet Floid, the Mighty Steed and Dewitt the Adventurer. These two explorers have been busy wandering about Middle-earth.
In a post on the forums by Fredelas, it seems we may have found the elusive blue festival clothing on Bullroarer in the latest patch. I know at least Kiarane, Ketani and I were frantically searching for this costume and it’s great to think it is coming with Monday’s patch. This blue outfit was displayed in the official Yule Festival screenshots and we couldn’t figure out how we earned it!
Strange things are afoot in Middle-earth, lately. Starting with a Strongly-Worded Letter from one Bungo Grubb of Oatbarton, a scavenger hunt of sorts has begun.
Deciding to investigate further, I set out for Oatbarton to see this suspicious stone Mr. Grubb spoke of appearing in his fields. Upon arriving at the field in question, just to the east of Oatbarton in the southern reaches of Evendim, I immediately had a sense of dread. I carefully approached the strange looking stone and began to inspect it. Just as I suspected, it was more than just a prank by another farmer jealous of his pipe-weed crop. Although I wouldn’t tell Mr. Grubb that. He’s not likely to believe you.
Inspecting the stone itself grants a level 20 quest that requires you to talk to Bungo Grubb. He tells you his thoughts on the matter and at this point you open up a deed that instructs you to find 4 more of these relics in other, undisclosed locations of Middle-earth. Note: This deed is tied to having access to the quest packs for the zones the Mysterious Relics are found in.
Skirmishes are scalable instances that reward you with Skirmish Marks, which may be bartered for various items and for advancing your soldier traits. You can begin skirmishing at level 20. You can access Skirmishes through the Instance Join panel (CTRL-J).
Deeds can be a pain. Even the easiest deeds in the game can become cumbersome if there’s other people around killing the same mobs you need for your deeds. However, thanks to the reflecting pool, you can create your own private instance in which you can kill the mobs therein and advance your deeds without competing with other players or disrupting other’s quest time.
Below is a list of instances that, once completed, you can access via a region’s reflecting pool, along with the deeds of that region that will be advanced. Be aware that some instances will be better for grinding than others. Also, be aware that you can only access five instances per hour. Choose wisely.
Some time ago Turbine added in Meta-Deeds which would grant rewards when completed. All of the Meta-Deeds currently in-game offer both a very rare mount, which incidentally is only available through the Meta-Deeds, a unique title, and Turbine Points.
These deeds are not easy to complete and not for the faint at heart. There is a lot of grinding involved. Grinding it the more difficult places in the game.
Our friend Bryandt (whom you may know from the Premium Experiment) has posted some new videos showing how to get some hidden deeds available in Enedwaith.
