LotRO’s free to play is launching September 10th. Beta participants, current and past subscribers will be getting a headstart on September 8th. For the time being, there is a noticeable lull in LotRO. Players are taking a little break in anticipation of new content and changes coming. Some are wandering around bored with nothing to do in their favorite game.

Here are 5 things you can do while you wait for free to play to launch.

WoW Dungeon Finder = LOTRO Future?

When I first heard about WoW’s Dungeon Finder system I got a bit upset.  To me it seemed to be a blatant copy of LOTRO’s Skirmish System but using their existing content instead of the new Skirmish zones implemented by Turbine.  However, my anger was fleeting and eventually I tried to find out more about this system to educate myself on a new game system.  I mean, we as gamers often call for game companies to adopt (or steal) other games’ playstyles, features, and… well everything really, in an effort to improve whatever game we are currently evaluating.  So as I began to discover more about the Dungeon Finder and even watched a video tutorial that WoWvault created I saw why this system is so popular amongst WoW subscribers.
