For those of you who missed last night’s Treasure-hunt, first I want to assure you that it was a sneak peak! This event was short intentionally and I’m assuming the time selected was probably set just for convenience of Turbine monitoring the sneak preview event.
I do not know what the duration of the full event intends to be but I’m guessing longer. Possibly a weekend event since they’ve been fond of doing thesethingsrecently.
The LOTRO Store is rolling out seven new emote bundles starting on May 27, 2011. The official announcement says you can save up to 23% on the cost of these emotes.
Turbine Tuesday is a one day 50% off sale on one item in the LOTRO Store (also the DDO store if you play that). Sale runs from midnight to midnight Eastern Standard Time (-5 GMT). Codemasters’ new “Tuesday Treats” system is offering this as well so our friends across the pond can start taking advantage of this one day sale.

The new Haunted Burrow is simply not to be missed. If you plan to spend any time in the new Haunted Burrow event, you may want to hold off buying a lot of items as there is a chance to earn them from the special chest inside the burrow freeing up your tokens to buy other goodies!
The quests are mostly broken up into four major regions in Middle Earth.
A feature in LOTRO that doesn’t get much attention but that I do use quite often is using the built in emote animations with your own emote text. It’s a wonderful option that can bring just a little extra life to your role-play or even just goofing around.
How it works
Type the command of the emote with the action you want your character to do
After the command type the text you want your character to emote
It really is that simple! Let me show you an example of how it would work.
I do realize that LOTRO has an extensive listing of emotes available in their game. One of the largest collections I’ve dealt with in my gaming life, in fact. They’ve even made it fun by having hidden emotes you can earn through deeds. I really should have nothing to complain about.
Unfortunately I feel there are a few needed emotes that are missing from this list and should be added. These are emotes that I try to use only to be disappointed when nothing happens. Yes, I realize I can create my own little emote with the alias system but is it as fun as having your character react or actually move? I argue not.
In a first attempt at making an in-game video, I’ve decided to share with everyone the secret members only room for people who are friendly or higher with the Inn League. I then demonstrate the /dance_jig emote for you to see!
For more information on how to gain reputation with the Inn League, please see our General Festival Quest Guide!
Not all deeds appear in your deed log. Turbine threw in some fun easter eggs for you to find when you complete the requirements. These hidden gems require you to have a friend or two to help you as it requires emotes to be performed on you in order for you to earn them. Have your friend target you and perform the specific emote needed for the new title or emote.
Special Emote Titles Most titles are earned when you have had 100 of the specific emote performed on you. The deed increments only 5 times per day so it will take a minimum of 20 days to get these titles. I’ve noted which emotes have different requirements. More information about these emotes can be found in this Player Guide.
