While most folks will be exchanging their armor pretty quickly once Rise of Isengard hits, I did want to mention a potential upcoming change in the barter amounts for these sets. Granted this is off of Bullroarer and subject to change, but one of my readers tipped me off to this change and I did in fact verify it on Bullroarer. I’ll caution folks once more, this could change again, so don’t bank on it unless you’re willing to take that risk.
Tier 2 set pieces will only need the piece specific coin, no additional medallions
Tier 1 set pieces will now be either 90 (Boots, Gloves, Shoulders) or 120 (Helm, Legs, Chest) medallions each
I’ve been meaning to write this article for a while, but am just now getting to it. On Monday of this week I was lucky enough to find myself in a position to raid with one of my kinship’s static groups as a couple people couldn’t make it. They ended up needing my Minstrel, and were starting with the Disease wing of Ost Dunhoth. This could be one of the most hectic and chaotic fights you’ll see, so I wanted to walk through a bit of it as some advice for others looking to run that. By far this was one of the most fun times I’ve had in game for a long time and brought back many good memories of why I love this game and run with the groups I do.
I would also suggest checking out my previous Minstrel post concerning building a survivable Minstrel as you will need to withstand a couple of hits during this fight I’m still not where I want to be with my Minstrel, but he’s getting better.
I spotted a thread on the forums walking through the new Forochel instance Sari Surma and started poking around the Lorebook a bit. There are entries for all the new Echoes of the Dead instances with some being more detailed then others. The nice part about the Lorebook is that it is immune from the various forum purges that happen from time to time, but you do loose some of the conversation options available in the forums.
I know some like to solve the puzzles themselves so I’m just going to include a brief overview of what’s in each section and allow you to decide it you want to check them out. Certainly a lot of good work done to pull these all together!
Today’s news from Turbine was the announcement of the release date, March 21st gives us 10 days before launch of the new content. As always before new releases I try to get geared up and ready for the new fun adventures and this update is no different.
I know this might make some sad, I’m probably going to be shelving my Champion for a little bit as the prospect of getting back into raiding with multiple almost ready characters is just too appealing. She’s not getting a perma-benching but just sent down to the minors for a little bit. However, this does bring up a bit of an issue as my Captain and Minstrel are pretty ugly at the moment. My Warden on the other hand is in pretty good shape, but depending on how ambitious I get (and if I can pull myself out of Telara) I will probably work on her a bit too.
For the next ten days, I’m going to challenge myself to accomplish a few things:
I posted these over on TGN-Stratics but figured I’d repost over here too. Some very cool spaces, with the raid and Lost Temple being my initial favorites!
