Turbine has some unexpected downtime with their European Customer Support today. Celestrata has posted about the outage on the forums (with translations in the appropriate forums).
Due to technical difficulties, our European Customer Support is temporarily unavailable on all channels (phone, in-game,http://support.turbine.com.) We are working to get service restored as quickly as possible. English support is currently unaffected. Thanks for your patience!

Migration is happening now and some folks have some questions on payment options. Not all the choices EU players had with Codemasters is available with Turbine at this time.

We received the following email with pictures of the Codemasters final party from Aaron of the Evernight server and thought it would be fun to share while our EU friends are waiting to be migrated. If you have any pictures to share, join our Flickr group and post them up for all to enjoy!
Hello CSTM,
My Name is Aaron and I play on the Evernight Server in the EU, and I listen to your blog and podcasts every week, it really is the highlight of my Sunday (because I’m GMT I can’t listen to you live
) Keep up the great work. This week was the Codemaster migration and thanks to your site myself and my kinship found out just in time, we all thank you for that.
On May 31st the GM’s held a party outside the Prancing Pony, it really was a sad because we wouldn’t see them in there GMiness ever again, but it was fun because we had music, fireworks and a cute Hobbit couple playing music and dancing for everyone dancing for everyone this instantly made me think of Goldenstar and Merric. So I have attached some pictures of the party.

Codemasters has announced that their Free-to-Play will begin on Monday, October 25th. This is great news and shows promise that F2P will indeed be coming soon to Europe. Considering how shortly this is going up after the recent announcement by David Solari, this might mean we will see a release of F2P in November; hopefully either before or at the release of Turbine’s scheduled November content update!

Before I got into this journalism thing, I was a drama major. I’ve done a couple of musicals (even though I have the dancing skill of a couple of broken brooms duct-taped together) and directed plays. Theatre teaches you the true meaning of deadlines.
As I’ve told nervous actors time and time again: there is this fixed moment (let’s say Friday, September 10, at 8 ‘o clock) when the curtain rises. This is an immutable fact. Some stage hand will pull a cord and the audience will see whatever it is that you’ve worked on for all those months.

There may have been some worry since the announcement of the acquisition of Turbine by Warner Bros of what would happen to our European friends who play LOTRO through Codemaster accounts. I bring you good news!
Eurogamer reports today that Codemasters will continue to distribute and run LOTRO for Europe.

“Tell the Community Team” is where Turbine asks for the players to give them direct and specific feedback about a specific topic. This is really a fantastic opportunity for you to give your thoughts and opinions about the game directly to Turbine to think about.
These “Tell the Community Team” questions focus on Priorities and Housing. They have three questions they are looking for you to give them feedback on:
- You are given the opportunity to move two items to the top of our priority list. Choose two of the following items and assign them either first priority or secondary priority:
Radiance, Legendary Items, Housing, Kinships, PvMP, General itemization (loot, rewards), New Skirmishes, New Raids, Revamp old Raids/instances, Trait/deed revamp. {Additional items will be discarded}
- If you were in charge of revamping how housing lock-out and escrow worked, what would you change?
- Are you following the new Official LOTRO Twitter feed?
