We have a wonderful opportunity for you to win some Turbine Points! Thaladus has offered up a Turbine Points he’s purchased himself just for you to create a great LOTRO video.
This will be a Lotro in-game video montage with the theme of “I am a Rockstar”. The rest of the story is up to you to show us in a original video. Entrees may be serious or funny. We mostly want to see creativity!

January 30th is the final day of the Yule Festival! Make sure you turn in all your tokens and buy up all the goodies you were hoping for this weekend.
All the yule festival items including the horses, costumes and furniture will not be available again until next year! The tokens will not expire so if you simply wish to put a stash in your vault until next year, that will work!

This is a guest submissions sent in by Millros Broadbelt of the Bounders of the Shire kin on Landroval on getting through Winterhome daily grind as quickly as possible.
With new yule cosmetics available with update 5.1, thoughts have turned back to Winterhome quests before the festival ends. The problem is it can be a bit of a grind and you don’t want to spend precious gaming time when you could be doing other things. If you plan your route carefully through Winterhome though you can be in and out in an easy 15 minutes, leaving plenty of time to do other things in your spiffy new clothes on your spiffy new horse! This is the route I’ve found to be the fastest through the Winterhome quests, getting through everything in 2 “laps” and with the absolute minimum of doubling back.
When you land at Winterhome head straight into the upper gate and speak to guard Kember. Pick up the Abominable Snowbeasts quest (you aren’t so mean as to want to tell the beggars to move off for money are you? No, didn’t think so, good!) then head down the main street, past Ona Kay, to the workers area.

Shortly after posting about the new cosmetics, it was discovered there is also a new steed available!
Ketani was kind enough to collect enough tokens (after spending them all on the new cosmetics) to obtain the horse as well. She is modeling the mount with the new cosmetics on as they go nicely with the new horse.
The horse costs the typical 20 Tokens, 1 Race Token and Document of Mount Ownership. In your mount panel it will be listed as the “Yule Festival Snowy Horse/Pony”.

This weekend, our Game Masters will be back in the Ettenmoors! This time, however, they’re fighting in the name of the Free Peoples! We’ve heard your feedback from last weekend’s events and this weekend’s event will have a few changes. Our GMs will not only be more powerful, but they’ll also be bringing their own backup!
GMs will be appearing randomly across all servers. Please keep in mind they are there for the event and not to address support issues, please direct all support requests through the normal channels.

We love the holidays here at CSTM and really get into the spirit of giving! Some of you may have seen on our twitter last week that I had cleared our Walmart of all their LOTRO Turbine Points Cards.
Some of those cards were for friends but I still have a handful (six to be exact) that are specially reserved for our fans! One we have already given away earlier this week! I plan to give the rest away all week here on the blog!

For those of you who missed last night’s Treasure-hunt, first I want to assure you that it was a sneak peak! This event was short intentionally and I’m assuming the time selected was probably set just for convenience of Turbine monitoring the sneak preview event.
I do not know what the duration of the full event intends to be but I’m guessing longer. Possibly a weekend event since they’ve been fond of doing these things recently.
