After consolidating all my blogging activities into this single site, I am now trying to reach a wider audience. This has meant finally embracing "Facebook" which up to now I have avoided. I don't find it a particular intuitive online resource but I have finally set up a presence there.
With regard to "Twitter", I am trying to migrate from my previous account to a new one that is linked to this site. If you are a follower of Xusia of Delos would you please consider following Moderate Peril, as this would be invaluable.

I’m probably one of the last, but I have joined Facebook giving people another option if they’d prefer to get my information there. I’m still trying to figure it out, so it might take me a bit but part of this post is to test things out. Hopefully if I’m doing something very wrong, folks will let me know but you can either search for Docholiday MMO on facebook or follow this link.
Certainly most of what I do on there will be LOTRO related, but I will be following other games and things that are of interest to me. So if you’re on Facebook and prefer to connect there or have suggestions on how to better set things up I’m all ears!

This week we duo The Battle in the Tower and have issues with the Frigid Squall lieutenant. Yes, I understands that the Frigid Squall is supposed to switch targets but chasing me around the room isn’t exactly “switching targets” and so I blame Merric.
We also started working on our journey to finish Volume I and are working on Book 10. Nothing really wrong with book 10 except for the extremely annoying habit of it forcing you to travel back and forth from Annúminas to Tinnudir repeatedly. Our faction with the Wardens of Annúminas is not great enough for them to allow us to use their stable point so we’ve been swimming it. At least the mobs in Annúminas do not aggro us so let us count our blessings.

In this episode, we discuss our first run in a duo skirmish. We had very differing views of the duos but overall I believe we both think they are a great addition. We discuss the mobs we ran into and the new Leech-Warden lieutenant.
Goldenstar’s runekeeper is 16 and Merric’s minstrel is now level 26. Merric has started the Volume III, Book 1 quests and is not going as quickly as most people are talking about because he’s choosing rewards rather than the quick travel options.

Turbine has released a new Facebook App called LOTRO Player Feed. The app will update your Facebook status when you login as well as accomplishments you complete while playing! It is an official app from Turbine so it’s safe to install.
It is tied the LOTRO Community login that you use for the forums and my.lotro so it appears this feed is just for Turbine players (not Codemasters players).

A couple of reminders of some things that are happening with LOTRO Reporter.
Cor Pethroni is growing almost every day. We’ve got the folks from Casual Stroll to Mordor and Middle Earth Adventure there, as well as everyone from here at LOTRO Reporter. If your second favorite (LOTRO Reporter is your favorite, right?) blog/podcast isn’t taking part yet, send them a message and ask them if they would like to participate. The more the merrier!
Also, don’t forget about our Facebook Fan Page! Search for LOTRO Reporter in Facebook and you’ll find us! I’m going to be attempting to use the “Discussion” area as an ad hoc forum. Lets see how that work out.

I suppose this is ironic in its own way, but despite the time I spend working on online-related projects I am not really a fan of social networks. A good portion of my job focuses on them so heavily that using them for fun is as exciting as gathering toad “stones” in Rushock Bog.
That said, I do enjoy Facebook. Sure, it’s largely “networking” with people you already know. Still, I’ve found it’s a great tool to keep some level of communication open with so many people in my life who have moved or gone on to bigger and better things. Sometimes just knowing someone is doing well is a good enough reason to look them up, I think.
Anyway, that was a pointless tangent. Here is the point: I made a Facebook page for MMeOw.
