Well, it’s been just over a month since the Turbine servers launched “Free to Play” (insert glare at whomever is holding up Codemasters) and already people are speculating on when the next content update will be and what it might hold. Fueled with snippets of Kate Paiz mentioning Isengard and the Dev Chat quote that Radiance will be removed in the future, players are are speculating when these and other features will be released. Sapience has been chiming in with even more snippets of information teasing those on the boards with what will (and will not) be coming in the immediate future.

On March 26th, 2010 PAX East hit Boston. We were there hoping and praying for that an announcement would be made about a new expansion, like what happened at PAX Prime and the announcement of Siege of Mirkwood. Although no official announcement was made, Adam Mersky (Director of Communications at Turbine) may have given us one after all!
This video surfaced on the 5th of May on GameSharkVideo’s youtube channel and was titled “Interview with LOTRO”. I don’t think they knew what that had on their hands or this would have surfaced a little faster!

Our final PAX East interview is with LOTRO Community Manager, Sapience. We brought with us player submitted questions to ask him. The interview covers a series of topics including PvMP, Skirmishes, future enhancement questions and just general thoughts and suggestions. Some of the PvMP questions are repeats from the interview with Frelorn but you get to hear the Community Managers point of view on the subject!
We had a bit longer to talk with Sapience than our other recent podcasts and this interview is around 30 minutes long. We did end up getting kicked out of the exhibition hall so if we didn’t get to your question, we do apologize! Thank you to everyone that sent us a question!

Today while browsing the world wide interwebs I found myself watching a video of a Russian LOTRO Server. The video was titled "LOTRO, Creeps in Forochel" and can be viewed on theLOTRONetwork.com or on YouTube. The video title immediately threw up a flag for me. Lets go over a little back story here.
Forochel is the region just north of Evendim. The snowy, ice covered bay is best known for its involvement with Volume I, Book 14. The area contains many mobs and a few very cool small dungeons and caves that are a real treat to explore. The zone has only one entrance from the south which means its "landlocked" you could say.

Today we had a commenter by the name of Heiko who’s geekiness lead to some juicy rumor type gossip. I think it’s completely fascinating and can’t help but passing on the rumors for you to ponder. Here’s the scoop from Heiko:
About your `ridersofrohan.com’ comment: the week before Mirkwood was announced I did some research on registered domain names (yes, I’m a geek as well, probably pretty high on the geek scale). I found some interesting stuff. All domain names listed below are registered by Saul Zeantz/Tolkien Enterprises:
