We’re one week into 2012 and I think I need to prioritize my LOTRO life a bit .The holidays were a crazy whirlwind of activity that typically translated into not much time for LOTRO. Apart from my Monday Night Dum Group where I play my burglar, there were weeks I don’t recall logging in at all. This is something I intend to change.
One thing I know about myself is that I love planning things. But I have to do more than just plan, I have to act! Here’s the goals I’ve set for myself when it has come to LOTRO.

I was browsing the items in the Bree skirmish camp when Leodhas strolled up and bowed to me.
It just so happened that it was the last bow I needed for the hidden emote /heropose!

I was taking care of some messy orc business in Lothlorien when this thought occurred to me.
LOTRO: Where the female characters are very sensibly dressed for battle and the orcs are the ones wearing the chainmail bikinis.

I love that about LOTRO!

A project a long time in the making (first mentioned in episode 24) I have finally created my Bree Urchin costume for my Hobbit Hunter!
I completed the 30 quests in Winter-home to get the Final Quests and earn my Shabby Clothing Set. I may still get her a top hat to go with her outfit. The skirmish top hat may fit nicely. The extravagant hat is a bit too fancy for my urchin.

We were lucky enough to be asked for an interview by the fine folks of The Dunedain podcast. We had a great chat with Maerech, Pariah and Arthur “Two Sheds” Jackson.
We talk about ourselves and our background, our inspiration for starting the podcast and of course we side track now and then as well. If you were curious about Merric and I more outside of LOTRO and our plans for CSTM give it a listen!

I am very pleased to announce that this afternoon I was able to complete Volume 1 and earn the Grey Steed. This pretty horse has been something I’ve wanted ever since I saw Azz’s oh so many months ago.
I really took advantage of the welcome back week to get the free horse rides all over. Although I was warned how horrible Book 15 was with the horse routes, I made my way through it by watching TV whilst travelling across the Trollshaws. I thank everyone for the warnings or I probably would have been a lot grumpier about the travel!

This is why I am so happy:

I have been waiting and waiting for my chance to get my Blue Roan pony! She is even more beautiful than I imagined. I’ll have to think of a good name for her (her default name was Chase).

I have an odd habit of chatting with the NPCs in game and it makes me curious if I’m the only one. I’ve done this as far as I can remember. Some of your may have answered them yourself. What may be considered odd is that I typically will type out my response in /say as if I’m really talking to them.
Merric just takes it as a silly quirk of mine but I believe it enhances my game play to believe they’re real characters. That’s not just a mindless NPC, that’s Aragorn or Gandalf. It doesn’t have to be a major character either. I’ll chat with a grocer just as soon as I would Frodo. Some of them even say pretty interesting things if you stop to listen.

Merric and I worked on getting as close to 65 as we could as we wanted to be doing something special for our final level. We had a little more than one experience bubble left when we met up with Azz Eldahnya, Arataurn and Guthrall from our kin.
We started out trying Survival – Barrow-downs. We wanted to challenge ourselves to survive long enough for us to hit level 65. We did make it to the 10 minute mark but only barely and there wasn’t enough experience gained to get us to level 65.

Turbine has chosen us as featured players for the community blog. The interview deals mostly with our personal life. Feel free to read it if you are at all curious of the types of things we enjoy when not playing LOTRO!
Featured Players: Goldenstar and Merric
