It is almost August once again and that means that our little blog and podcast, A Casual Stroll to Mordor is turning two-years old!

My Name is Aaron and I play on the Evernight Server in the EU, and I listen to your blog and podcasts every week, it really is the highlight of my Sunday (because I’m GMT I can’t listen to you live 
) Keep up the great work. This week was the Codemaster migration and thanks to your site myself and my kinship found out just in time, we all thank you for that.
On May 31st the GM’s held a party outside the Prancing Pony, it really was a sad because we wouldn’t see them in there GMiness ever again, but it was fun because we had music, fireworks and a cute Hobbit couple playing music and dancing for everyone dancing for everyone this instantly made me think of Goldenstar and Merric. So I have attached some pictures of the party.

The good folks of the kinship Dawning Eclipse will be celebrating their 4th anniversary! Events start on Friday, May 6th at 9:30pm Eastern on the Windfola server and everyone is invited to join the festivities!

Tonight at 9:00pm EST will be the launch of the Dunedain Radio station. Dunedain Radio will be a 24/7 streaming radio station with a wide selection of talk programs like LOTRO podcasts, fantasy music and special programs.
There’s even a Tolkien connection to this specific date as it is Tolkien Reading Day! For those of you who live in Middle-earth, this is the day that the One Ring is destroyed in the fires of Mt. Doom and Sauron fell!
The group plans to also have a representative character live in game on the Landroval server of Lord of the Rings Online. Players of the game will be able to ask questions, say hello to guests and request content they would like to hear on the new online radio venture.

Last night was the PAX East Turbine Party. This wasn’t a press event, just a fun time organized by Turbine for some fans. It was originally planned for Merric to attend the party while I stayed and cared for Baby Hobbit who is here in Boston with us. After our epic 12 hour drive from Michigan, Merric conked out on the bed and so I got ready to attend the party instead.
I have to say that I truly had a fantastic time. Meeting up with fellow Turbine enthusiasts and being greeted by fans of CSTM was nothing but pure rapture for me. I also learned that there’s quite a few Turbine fans who don’t drink and were gracious enough to give me their free drink token (may not have been the best idea as I got louder as the night wore on).

So he finally did it. He /kneeled and popped the question. On Saturday October 9th, A Casual Stroll to Mordor will be hosting an online party celebrating the Fellowship’s Walk. Our goal is to encourage people to donate so that the Fellowship can move out of Bree, which is the $2,000 donation marker. Join the fun on Landroval, by the Pierson’s Farm in Bree-Land, at 9 p.m. EST this Saturday, and get us out of Bree!

This was our special anniversary episode where we are celebrating our first year of blogging and podcasting! We had Azz, Kiarane, Elborigorn and Orchida join us on the podcast to hear from our writers and their reflections of the past year and their plans for the next year.
This podcast was live broadcast during an in-game event so there are bits of derailment and distractions from the fun activities happening in game.

I have to say that last night’s event exceeded all my expectations. I had such a great time with the live broadcast of Episode 50 while watching the party go on in game.
Thank yous are in order for all the people that really made this possible.
