As per usual, new patch notes have me looking for anything mentioning updates to livestock and fertilizer. This time around there isn’t anything concerning boar poo, but we do have a couple updates in regards to horses.

Codemasters Update 2 Patch 1

Announced today, Codemasters will be applying Update 2’s Patch 1 tomorrow.

From the Codemaster’s Forums:

Don’t forget that this maintenance day we will be patching the servers up to Update 2, Patch 1. Servers will go down at 08.00 and be back up at 15.00 hours, UK time (BST).

Sapience released today the initial patch notes for Update 2, Echoes of the Dead.  However, he strongly reminds us that this is a public beta and all notes are subject to change:

The following release notes apply only to the Bullroarer Test Server. All changes and updates listed are subject to change before being released to the live servers. These release notes should be considered incomplete and subject to change at any time.

Scheduled Downtime: Monday, Jan 24

albumartWe have returned from vacation and boy do we have a TON of news to cover! We go over the new Yule Festival Dev Diaries, contests available, all the new store sales, current issues being reported an more!  This episode ended up being an hour and a half due to all the news.

Merric’s hunter hit level 40 this week. He completed Vol 1 Book 4 and skirmished probably the last 5 levels. He also got his guardian kindred with the grey company.

Codemasters Journey to Winter-home Update

A new announcement popped up in my news feed today simply stating that the Journey to Winter-home (was typically called the November update) is to come soon to Codemasters servers. There was no date on this announcement; just the “soon” description.

Since the tentative date we last heard was December 7th (tomorrow) I went to see if there was any further updates on the subject.

Sever Down Time, Monday, December 6

It was announced that there will be downtime for the US servers on Monday, December 6. The purpose is to patch some bug fixes, which follow:

  • The Steed of Night was not displaying the correct item name. This is has been addressed. It will now correctly display as “Steed of Night.”
  • Terrible things (such as skills getting stuck in the queued state, and being unable to use the key to log out) no longer happen after you try to use a helpful skill on an inanimate object.
  • There’s now a tutorial hint shown when Skirmish Marks and Anniversary
  • Tokens are transferred into the Barter Wallet.
  • Items that increase the daily Tasks limit now more clearly state their use restrictions.
  • NPCs in the Volume 2, Book 5, Chapter 5 instances were randomly scaling, making it difficult to complete the instances. We’ve spoken to those NPCs and explained to them that, while their enthusiasm is appreciated, we’d much rather have appropriate level NPCs in those instances.
  • Resolved an issue where the “Jailbreak” quest in Archet would fail if players ran too far ahead.
  • We have added a new mount to the Kindred barterer for the Malledhrim (Mirkwood Offensive). The cost for the mount is the same as the previous Mirkwood mount.
  • Resolved an issue where players attempting to purchase Destiny Perks from the LOTRO Store were not being directed to the correct page.
  • Resolved a sound issue during Skorgim’s Resurrection.
  • Players should now receive the correct faction reputation for quests in the Mounshaws.
