Time is running short on these remaining PAX East mount codes I still have. They have to be claimed by April 30th!
I thought a fun way to give away our two remaining codes would be to offer them randomly to a member of our Casual Stroll to Mordor group on the My Middle-Earth.
The winners of the last week’s PAX East Swag Bundle contest have been drawn and contacted! We will be shipping their winning package as soon as we can this week.
We announced last week that starting on April 11th we’d be having contests to give away five PAX East Pony codes via Facebook. We’re going to have to change those plans.
It seems that Facebook is a bit of a turd when it comes to promotions on their site and according to their guidelines we could lose our page for our app-free, unauthorized contest. I’m certain that these guidelines were meant for large corporate promotions with millions of fans and not some small niche site’s code giveaway but still we don’t want to break the rules.
We’ve gathered all our PAX East Swag and even collected some goodies sent to us from Steiner-Davion from DDOCast and are finally ready to give it all away!
We are giving all our swag away in several different ways to try to connect to all our fans and the different ways they connect to us. We have 4 ways for you to win some of our phat loot:
This is the last of our interviews from PAX East and this is chatting with Aaron “Rowan” Campbell and Joe “jwbarry” Barry.
This interview gives us a nice description and walk through of the new raid, Ost Dunhoth, and discusses the gaunt-lord bosses we will be facing starting on Monday!
Blair Herter from G4tv speaks with Fernando Paiz about Dungeons and Dragons Online Update 9 and Kate Paiz about Lord of the Rings Online: Echoes of the Dead update 2.
There’s nothing really very new for us already familiar with the update but I think it’s great to see Turbine featured.
Today was a full morning for us at PAX East and when Baby Hobbit and I returned to our hotel room for lunch and a nap, I spent my time uploading the photos I had taken so far for your enjoyment!
Last night was the PAX East Turbine Party. This wasn’t a press event, just a fun time organized by Turbine for some fans. It was originally planned for Merric to attend the party while I stayed and cared for Baby Hobbit who is here in Boston with us. After our epic 12 hour drive from Michigan, Merric conked out on the bed and so I got ready to attend the party instead.
I have to say that I truly had a fantastic time. Meeting up with fellow Turbine enthusiasts and being greeted by fans of CSTM was nothing but pure rapture for me. I also learned that there’s quite a few Turbine fans who don’t drink and were gracious enough to give me their free drink token (may not have been the best idea as I got louder as the night wore on).
One of the first things we did (apart from picking up our Turbine Party Tickets and my code for a new pony) was confirm with Sapience that Echoes of the Dead now has a launch date.
This week we talked about the instance dev diaries released this week, lag issues, stores sales and more!
Goldenstar is having issues finding a questing area for her level inside of Moria. Merric’s Lore-master is level 48 and he did get his Eagle pet. We ran the new Lost Temple instance on Bullroarer and had a video of our live run available to watch.
