I saw a short dev update on this, so I wanted to share it. Turbine has made a mess of creep-side mitigation in recent history by breaking them in Update 5, “fixing” them with Update 5.1, but that fix really didn’t quite work. Many on the forums had been reporting that, and finally we hear confirmation that there’s still an issue. Kelsen posted today that they know there’s an issue and they plan an upcoming fix to restore creep mitigations to the pre-Update 5 levels. Essentially the fix they tried, didn’t work the way the wanted it to and there’s still more to do. However, there’s no word on when that patch might see the servers.
I know this doesn’t solve anything, but at least they acknowledge the problem and are planning to fix it soon.

Once again I’m scheduling some time to chat with folks from Turbine about the various pieces of LOTRO that we all love, and some that we’re not so pleased about
I’m still gathering my questions, but wanted to give folks an opportunity to get their questions in.
I can’t guarantee I’ll get to everything, nor am I 100% sure who I’ll have access to, but if my last interview is any indication they are open to pulling in people necessary to answer the questions.

Today was a nice surprise when I saw Orion make a number of posts to try and summarize the feedback and issues with the class. He did a great job of summarizing and clarifying the issues, and although there are things he’s not in control of, he did promise to discuss with the folks who are. Currently the following things are currently not working properly for Wardens:
- Never Surrender debuff should be 2 minutes
- Never Surrender is know to have issues with DoTs
- Never Surrender uses the Captain’s Last Stand Icon
- Aggression tooltip states a percentage of threat when in fact it is a flat rate
- Using Aggression and Potency shows the Conviction tooltip
- Shield Tactics adds to Defense and not Mitigation
- Shield Tactics applies immunity at the end of the animation
- Way of the Warden doesn’t give Critical Defense
- Deflection places a threat up and not a thread down icon
- Double gambit builders use the single gambit animation

There has been quite a bit of change lately with Isengard, and I wanted to put up a post that combined some of that for folks.
First up, for those of you out in Dunland you may have interacted with an NPC Andred out in the Gravenwood. Personally, I had a horrible time trying to find the last two quests (the set is part of a deed) so I’m sharing the snapshot below to show you where I was standing when I was able to get these last two quests:

Not to be outdone by his diary for the Freeps, Kelsen unveiled another diary today outlining the changes on the Creep side. This is another long one, weighing in at 6 pages, most of which means very little to me as I don’t play creep-side. Curiously absent though is any discussion on the store – I wonder if we’ll get another Store update like we did for Update 3?

We’ve seen and heard quite a bit about what’s happening on the Creep side of things out in the Ettenmoor, today Kelsen walks us through what we can expect on the Freep side. And there are some cool shinies that are making me do the math of how much I need to be in the moors to get those ranks!

This episode is a bit delayed but with vacation and a bunch of behind the scenes work it just took a while before I had time to get this recorded. Please let me know how you make out with the new feed and if there are any issues with it.

I know I’m quite a bit behind on these, but luckily for me Orion today posted a summary post that rolls all the previous posts up as well as incorporating all the feedback. As always, remember these are still in flux and make sure to leverage the forums for feedback on the class if you have it. The devs have been VERY busy on the forums lately, so I’d take advantage of that.
I’ll recap the previous posts briefly but will focus on the latest:

I’m assuming these like the various class changes, will be rolling out with the Isengard expansion but we shall see.
Before I just into the Freep side, I did want to mention some of the creep changes. I say mention, as I don’t know jack about Creeps so I’ll keep it brief. But the big news is that with Isengard, free players (subscription reference, not game reference) will be able to join in the PvMP battles with the Reaver class. Other classes will be available in the store – which is also noteworthy since it signifies the store coming to the creep side as well. In addition to this news, Kelsen also posted notes on 2 of the creep classes:
