Today there were updated release notes for the Bullroarer test server. All changes are on the Bullroarer server only and are subject to change.
This set has some notes on the following items:
- Burglar, Captain, Hunter and Warden Classes
- Ettenmoors
- Skirmishes, Raids and Instances
- Legendary Items
- Crafting
- Volume II Quests
- And more
To be perfectly honest there was nothing here I read that was causing me to rush to Bullroarer to try things out but I’m sure there are plenty who are very interested in some of these bits.

The Store has it’s own set of release notes for the November update that were posted last night. For the most part it is stuff we knew were coming such as class items, ingredient packs, new dyes, and the breaking of Moria, Lothlorien and Mirkwood into their own quest packs.
But the release notes also had a few surprises to me that I didn’t know where coming although it is fully possible I missed them in other release notes or messages before now.

We catch up on what our Runekeeper/Hunter duo is up to. We are in Agaumar in the Lone-lands and are now both level 30. We spend some time arguing if Merric’s tracking on his hunter is worth waiting for. Goldenstar says no.
Goldenstar’s lottery curse has been listed as her burglar has finally won a spring pony as well as a couple other lotteries.
We of course spend some time talking about what we think of the Warner Bros. acquisition of Turbine.

This week we share a bit about our adventures in Angmar killing some of the raid landscape beasts, Ferndur and Bogbereth. Goldenstar was lucky enough to get both trophies for her house ut was a little miffed (or perhaps disgusted) when she plopped down Ferndur’s head and discover flies buzzing around it. Ick!
Goldenstar ran into some bad luck when her Runekeeper died at level 19 preventing her from getting the “Undying” title. So that RK was promptly deleted and Goldenstorm the new elven RK was born! Merric got his captain to level 30 and has started working on his Minstrel as his next alt. He also talks about his numerous successes with skirmishes.

Turbine has released the Official Patch notes for Volume 3, Book 1 as well as let us know that this patch will be released on March 1st!
We have included a copy of the notes in PDF format for those who are not able to reach it via the normal means. Please forgive the formatting as I am not very good at printing or editing PDF’s!
We will do an overview of our thoughts at a later time.

Bullroarer will be down from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. EST today for updates. The list of updates is fairly short and appear to be mostly just little fixes rather than anything major but you can read them here. If you happen to be stuck at work with no access to LOTRO information, I’ve included a PDF at the end of this post with the notes just for you!

Siege of Mirkwood data has been added to the Lorebook as well as some other new features. Yay! Read about the changes in the release notes.
If you visit the page you’ll notice it looks different! There have been some updating of the software bringing more functionality and improving performance with the site. The home page now lists separate listings showing popular game content and lore content for example. The search is big and right on top. It looks good in my opinion.
Mirkwood information will now be searchable in the lorebook including skirmishes and their traits. Maps have been improved and given more options. The Barter items have been set to list all its items in one line instead of broken up (which really was confusing as poo for me when trying to write the festival guides.)
