"Classic instances will use the Skirmish reward system with some modifications and additions. What does this all mean in plain English? Classic instances will use the Skirmish reward system. All normal item drops from monsters and bosses have been replaced by Skirmish marks. Any spaces, like Annúminas or Helegrod, that had barter systems in place have had their item drops and barter NPCs removed. However, have no fear – many of the unique items that could be acquired from all instances have been added to a new Skirmish camp vendor: the Classic vendor. New unique tokens are also awarded for Classic quests and Challenge mode. In addition, we’ve put Legendary Item jackpots on end bosses, and even small chances to drop Tomes that permanently increase your character’s base stats! To sum up, Classic instances will give you everything they did before, except now they share a unified reward system."

“Tell the Community Team” is where Turbine asks for the players to give them direct and specific feedback about a specific topic. This is really a fantastic opportunity for you to give your thoughts and opinions about the game directly to Turbine to think about.
These “Tell the Community Team” questions focus on PvMP and Skirmish Rewards. They have three questions they are looking for you to give them feedback on:
- If you could make 1 change or addition to PvMP what would it be? (1 change ONLY – make it count)
- Aside from leveling your soldier, What do you use your skirmish marks for the most? Cosmetics? Primary Gear? Please list 2.
- What two items or types of items not currently available via Skirmish Marks would you like to see added?

Remember, that each cosmetic costs 1 specific Campaign Mark and 77 Skirmish Marks and can be purchased from a Cosmetics vendor at any of the Skirmish Camps.

In this section, we take a look at the new Cosmetic Items for sale through the Cosmetic vendors that are located in the Bullroarer Skirmish camps. In order to find them, set the “Filter by Profile” drop-down menu to read “Rift Cosmetic Clothing”. These new items include a cloak, a top hat, a fisherman’s backpack and the Rift helms! All of these items are wearable by all classes (even the Rift Helms) but are not purchasable with the existing Campaign Marks. It looks like with the new skirmish “Rift Rescue” we will also be obtaining a new Campaign, and along with it a new Campaign Mark, the Lefnuilan Campaign Mark. This campaign currently only contains “Rift Rescue”, but I would assume that there will be future Skirmishes that will fall into this campaign released as Volume 3’s books are released.

Today’s guide is the Woman Skirmish Soldier race’s cosmetic traits. Again, I would like to thank Kaelin from my kinship, The Council of the Secret Fire for all of his help with this post. He actually had all of the cosmetics available for the Elf-maiden (as well as others which will be seen in future posts) and was gracious enough to allow me to take screenshots of all the cosmetics despite the cost of constantly switching traits; not to mention all the Skirmish and Campaign marks it cost him. Thanks Kaelin!
Also, if you would like to help with this project, I am currently looking for screenshots of the following Hobbit-lass outfits for next week:

It was brought up in a previous post’s comments by Korrath that if you did not want to purchase cosmetic items you could go ahead and redeem them for Skirmish Marks, which is completely true. In order to do this, go to the Curiosities Vendor and set the “Filter by Profile” dropdown menu to “Redeem Marks”. You will be then be presented with the following filtered list of items which can be in turn be redeemed for more Skirmish Marks.
However, before you go bartering away all your different marks there are some things that you should be aware of first:

Skirmish Soldiers are a very customizable component of skirmishes. They have quite a few skills, traits, and other components that can be increased, swapped, and customized to create a very viable and reliable companion. However, they are also quite customizable when it comes to their looks as well. There are a total of seven different “races” that you can choose your soldier to become, and each race has 19 to 20 different cosmetic traits can be used to change the soldier’s hair style, hair color, and clothes. Each cosmetic costs 1 specific Campaign Mark and 77 Skirmish Marks and can be purchased from a Cosmetics vendor at any of the Skirmish Camps.
The following table consists of the different cosmetics available for the Elf-maiden soldier race. I would like to thank Kaelin from my kinship, The Council of the Secret Fire for all of his help with this post. He actually had all of the cosmetics available for the Elf-maiden (as well as others which will be seen in future posts) and was gracious enough to allow me to take screenshots of all the cosmetics despite the cost of constantly switching traits; not to mention all the Skirmish and Campaign marks it cost him.
