A few new screenshots were released today showing off the new instance spaces.  The spaces highlighted in these shots are the Pits of Isengard, Fanghorns Edge, and Dragnakh Unleashed.

Sadly I’m still haven’t had much chance to get into these spaces so I’m living vicariously through these images and what I hear from others :(

We got a little peak behind the scenes of the upcoming (still no official date) Yule Festival in today’s Dev. Diary.

One thing I did want to point out is that I appreciate seeing that some of the “newer” devs have worked their way up the ranks from places like the QA team, as Pinion mentions in his intro.

I know this is technically a Developer Diary, but it didn’t quite flow like the others and while it is pretty comprehensive it isn’t much of a behind the scenes look at the system, it is more of a FAQ for the system.  I have a feeling this is pretty much a summary of all the questions from the forums with some in-game shots of the various windows and pop-ups for the system.  Some good stuff in there as well as a teaser for Update 6 that you’ll be able to tweak the random part of the system to EXCLUDE instances.  Although I guess you could just exclude all but one to “randomly” select the one you want, but I’ll be interested to see what the restrictions are for that exclusion.

Overall nothing earth shattering for me, but if you haven’t been following the forum threads it certainly is a good concise summary of the system.

Perhaps it's because I had heard so many complaints about Moria, but I am surprised how much I'm enjoying it. I hasn't been since my first few days of playing LotRO that I've seen so many breathtaking sights. I think the reveals in Moria are better than they have been in the rest of Eriador. As always, click the image to see the maximum resolution. I have also corrected the resolution on the previous two wallpapers. There is also a widget in the sidebar with the entire collection of...

I'm working on a Moria collection of wallpapers. That's where I'm spending most of my time right now. It's also an area of great vision and architecture, from both an in-character and out-of-character perspective. Click on the image for maximum resolution.

With the patch today, the Fall Festival is now also live.  Much of it is the same as previous festivals and for a full guide make sure to head over to CSTM for their festival coverage.  Here’s the PDF link as CSTM is still fighting a malware issue – PDF version of the Website with all the quests.

I did pop in quickly to get the new horse and use up some old tokens to get the new dress and cloak for my Warden.

The Lonely Mountain Band at CSTM's Fellowship Walk party. I have to make some confessions. First, I have been playing LotRO again for a while now. I've moved through Angmar and Eregion, and I'm now well into Moria. I love Moria more than any other part of the game so far, but that's for another day. Second, I have always been into the cosmetics feature of the game, but once the wardrobe system came out it became especially addictive. I'm an avid fan of several of the LotRO outfitting...
