Everyone is familiar with their Map Home. It is probably the most single important item that you have in the game. It allows every player to travel back to the milestone that they are currently bound to (as long as it’s not on cool-down). However, in Update 2, Echoes of the Dead, this system has been changed dramatically.
When you log into Bullroarer for the first time on a character and right-click on your map it will become a skill named “Return Home” which will operate much like your “Map Home” did previously.

The Guardian Roundtable was recorded on December 17, 2010. This episode is with special guest Guardians:
- Drilorin of Through the Palantir
- Ivaneus of Through the Palantir
- Bulegar
- Merric
Similar to our past roundtable discussions, this is a lengthy episode but it is full of Guardian information. We discuss soloing, grouping, skirmishes, skills, traiting, legendary items and much more!

This is the final installment on Conjunctions. For reference see Part 1 & Part 2.In this last chapter of my conjunction series I’ll be covering “straight” type conjunctions as well as the more complicated “unique” fellowship maneuvers. The post will conclude with a “trips/tricks/best practices” section to help you get the most out of you fellowship maneuvers.

Part 1 ended with me briefly mentioning and describing the easiest and most basic of conjunctions (also called Fellowship Maneuvers), Flushes (2, 3 and 4 length [additional bonuses and names for 5 and 6 length flushes do not exist]). In this installment I’m going to be covering what I consider to be the intermediate level of conjunctions, Pairs and Full Houses as well as a few of the simpler “unique” fellowship maneuvers.

Would you mind explaining how conjunctions work? What does each color mean? How do different combinations affect the mobs and your fellowship?
That’s an excellent question! One that I could answer in a few paragraphs… or that I could take above and beyond and turn all of you readers into “Conjunction” experts. Being the overachieving sort, I’m going to opt to make you all into experts in a series of posts on “Conjunctions”, technically called, “Fellowship Maneuvers” but also abbreviated as “FMs” or “CJs”.
Here follows Part 1: The Basics.

The silence from Codemasters is deafening right now. There is a thread now 193 pages long in the EU forums, mostly containing very upset players. The most upsetting thing is not the delay in itself, but the lack of communication from Codemasters, which has lead to a number of different theories on why there is a delay in the first place. Since I am a subscriber, and will let my account just roll into VIP when (if?) F2P comes, i don’t really care that much about the delay. Sure, it would be nice to see the new area, but it’ll come eventually anyway. We did get the welcome back week, at least until recently, and that gave me the perfect opportunity to power-level my Warden.
The Warden class is really cool to play, for several reasons. First of all, there’s a lot of gambits, and even if they can be hard to remember at times, it’s a fun way to test out different ways to play. All the self-healing and morale-leeching gambits really help when taking on high-morale bosses, and the DPS on the spear-gambits actually isn’t that bad. Sure, a Warden can’t keep up with the traditional DPS-classes when it comes to DPS, but for a tank, it’s outstanding. I have now hit 44 on my Warden, and I’m planning on moving into Eregion very soon, first of all to collect the last pages for my book-deeds, but also to get ready for Moria.

I did a post a while ago about doing Sword Halls with three Hunters. I am really looking forward to trying this when LOTRO goes F2P with the new and improved Hunter skills. Now we will have both interupt and corruption removal.
Also, I found this pic searching for info on the new skills

This week’s CStM we primarily talk about the raid into the rift that we both were able to attend. Well Goldenstar did the whole thing, Merric came in at the end to tank the Balrog. Merric also discusses his experience with the Lone Lands revamp with his Captain. Our main topic is actually about these two areas and how some areas get attention while other pieces are mostly left as is.
Goldenstar is happy to report she’s finally getting the skirmish system and doing well. On her burglar anyway. She’s able to complete on level tier 1 skirmishes without any difficulty.

The Developer Diary: Volume III: Book 1 Skill Upgrades was posted on the official LOTRO Website. The news of new skills brings mixed feelings to some classes and a smile to others.
One class with a big smile right now is the Hunter class. And here’s the reason:

I learned something today pertaining to friendly heal-happy minstrels and solo wardens that I was not aware of and thought it may be interesting enough to share. I read about it in a post on the Minstrel Forums by head0nfire but I believe it originated on the Warden forums and shifted over to Minstrel territory.
I have been a “drive-by healer” in the past. If I notice someone struggling to kill a mob or running away, I’ll step in and give them a boost with a cheery song. I assume that my little ditty helped the player finish what they were working on and being quite proud of myself will carry on my merry-merry way.
