Today while browsing the world wide interwebs I found myself watching a video of a Russian LOTRO Server. The video was titled "LOTRO, Creeps in Forochel" and can be viewed on theLOTRONetwork.com or on YouTube. The video title immediately threw up a flag for me. Lets go over a little back story here.

Forochel is the region just north of Evendim. The snowy, ice covered bay is best known for its involvement with Volume I, Book 14. The area contains many mobs and a few very cool small dungeons and caves that are a real treat to explore. The zone has only one entrance from the south which means its "landlocked" you could say.

Hobbit

Fishing got boring fast…End of Article.

Ok, so maybe I should look at things in a different way. Maybe, I should do something constructive! Maybe you should help me! That all sounds good, so lets get started!

The Hobbies came to LOTRO on the wings of some really cool changes and updates. For that reason some of us feel they are being overlooked pretty heavily. You can only fish for so long before the idea devours your soul and withers your mind to mush. That got me thinking about other games and what we consider hobbies in real life. So without much other than that quickly written explanation of random thoughts, here’s my list of “Cool, that would make a fun Hobby!” Now before I ruin your thought process with my own, write down a few of your own and send them in a comment! The best ideas will be used in a future article to be announced later!

It’s no secret I’ve been a bit of a slacker blogwise over the last 10 days or so. This may directly relate to Siege of Mirkwood hitting the EU servers on 3rd Dec. And what a ride it’s been, between learning the new area, tackling skirmishes, levelling again and bemoaning our lot with the Legendary Items lottery.

I thought I should do like my kinmate Berathe, and make a few observations and thoughts about Mirkwood and the development of LotRO.

Sad HobbitYesterday I purposely left my laptop on and bugged Merric to remote in and start me loading the patch during lunch. I was prepared and ready. Baby Hobbit would be asleep by 9 p.m. and I would get an hour or two to dive into the new expansion.

Despite my best laid plans, Baby Hobbit did not see fit to allow any free time last night so I did not get to experience any of Siege of Mirkwood last night. Nothing’s wrong with her just one of her “sleep is for the weak” nights where she woke up every hour.
