One of the largest complaints about the LOTRO Store was that you couldn’t try on clothes before you purchased them. Yes, there was a picture/drawing of what they were supposed to look like, but how often can you tell what something will look like on you without trying them on? The answer is that you can’t. So it seems that with today’s hotfix Turbine snuck in a new enhancement that allows you to click on a “Try it on” button on a cosmetic item’s description page to open up the cosmetic dressing room and preview it on your character!

I found this in the Codemaster’s News this morning and wanted to share it with our European friends that read the blog.
If you’ve not yet upgraded to Mines of Moria™ or Siege of Mirkwood™ then you’re missing out on a fantastic amount of new content. We’ve got a special offer** on upgrades right now that include the Moria goat mount for just 1p! [source]

Since I’m sure we are all eagerly waiting for Volume III, Book 1 to hit on Monday, I thought I’d give you a heads-up on what jewelry to get once servers are up. Aside from new patterns and whatnot, there are also changes going into effect for the level 60 teal jewelry pieces (Sublime Rose and Glowing Aureate). There are now multiple versions of these items, tailored to specific roles. For the full listing of them, see this post on the official forums.
For Lore-masters particularly, there are some great changes. Let’s break it down by jewelry slot. I have only included here those which are itemized for casters.

Siege of Mirkwood data has been added to the Lorebook as well as some other new features. Yay! Read about the changes in the release notes.
If you visit the page you’ll notice it looks different! There have been some updating of the software bringing more functionality and improving performance with the site. The home page now lists separate listings showing popular game content and lore content for example. The search is big and right on top. It looks good in my opinion.
Mirkwood information will now be searchable in the lorebook including skirmishes and their traits. Maps have been improved and given more options. The Barter items have been set to list all its items in one line instead of broken up (which really was confusing as poo for me when trying to write the festival guides.)

Turbine has plans to upgrade the hardware on the U.S. LOTRO servers that will cause some improvement for us players! They’re currently testing the new hardware on the Bullroarer server and all active U.S. subscriptions are welcome to come and try it out.*
As an added bonus, Mines of Moria and Siege of Mirkwood will be available on the test server so if you never purchased them you can try it out!*
You can copy up to five of your existing characters to Bullroarer. Instructions for copying characters can be found here. You will also need to install the Bullroarer Client (you can’t login to Bullroarer with the regular login client) which you can find here. If you copied characters from the recent skirmish preview, those characters are still there. [source]

As we learned in last week’s Dev Chat, all classes are getting a skill upgrade at level 62. This is the only “new” skill we will be getting in Siege of Mirkwood. With the NDA lifted, we now have information of what these new skills are. Here’s a complete list of what each class is getting at level 62.
I actually started writing this post on Wednesday. I’m glad I didn’t finish it or I would have missed the Dev Diary released today that lists all these skills! Now I have proper names to the skills and not just whatever someone on the forums decided to call it. I will give as much specifics as I’m able to dig up on the forums. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in beta to see these for myself.
