January 30th is the final day of the Yule Festival! Make sure you turn in all your tokens and buy up all the goodies you were hoping for this weekend.
All the yule festival items including the horses, costumes and furniture will not be available again until next year! The tokens will not expire so if you simply wish to put a stash in your vault until next year, that will work!
Our 2011 Yule Festival Guide is available to make sure you haven’t missed anything!

We got a little peak behind the scenes of the upcoming (still no official date) Yule Festival in today’s Dev. Diary.
One thing I did want to point out is that I appreciate seeing that some of the “newer” devs have worked their way up the ranks from places like the QA team, as Pinion mentions in his intro.

Here is a friendly reminder that today is the last day for the Yule Festival so if there are still items you require or if you’re sitting on a pile of tokens, you may want to go and settle your accounts with the Yule Quartermasters.
Yule Tokens will not disappear at the end of the festival but they are only usable during Yule (even the horse race token). You can store them in your vault until next year if you so choose but if you do, you really need to go out and collect more junk! You have enough space to waste a slot on a yearly token!

Last week I posted a link to Thamorian’s blog with his dwarf dressed up in Yule garb on our Facebook page. Thamorian has his dwarf dressed to look very much like Santa.
After posting our friend Tadgo alerted us to a player named Santaclaws Hohoho on Arkenstone who was also all dressed up for the holidays. Tadgo was nice enough to go get some pictures of Mr. Hohoho for us.

These next couple of weeks will be a tad crazy so I figured I’d put up a quick post to let folks know what I’ve been up to.
I’ve been playing a fair amount of LOTRO as you might have noticed from my posts over on LOTRO Stratics but primarily just enjoying the Yule Festival. I’ve gotten both the new Yule horse and the new Maladhrim horse so I’m slowly building my collection.

In case you missed my post from LOTRO Stratics, I had a fun first day in the festival. Head over there for not only a quick recap of what I’ve done today but also some videos I put together to walkthrough the Snowball fight and the Feast quest.
So far, I’m enjoying this festival more then the Harvestmath festival which is saying quite a bit.

UPDATE: It appears I was correct in my initial decision to not add the beer-fight. It has been closed according to this announcement on the Turbine forums. Sorry if you were excited to do this again but it will return, we just don’t know when yet!
